Fan Heaters and Wall Stoves

PTC (Positive Temperature Coefficient) fan heaters use ceramic resistors.
The use of this material allows the appliance to self-regulate and consequently reduce consumption: the lower the ambient temperature, the greater the heat output. As the temperature increases, the resistor automatically reduces the power output and consequently consumption, thus saving energy.
Traditional fan heaters with non-incandescent wire resistors can be classified as free-standing (table, floor) or wall-mounted. The heat is directed to the affected area (which heats up quickly), and then spreads rapidly throughout the room thanks to forced ventilation.
